Microchips Reunite

Let’s make microchipping compulsory for pet cats in Scotland

Microchipping is the only safe and permanent way to identify a cat. Yet despite this, 29% of pet cats in Scotland are still not microchipped.

We understand the heartbreak of cat owners when their feline companions go missing. Microchipping is the safe, permanent and effective way of identifying a lost cat and reuniting them with their families.

England has now introduced compulsory microchipping for pet cats following a consultation that found 99% of people support this new rule! Let’s urge the Scottish Government to act now to introduce this popular and important policy.

Voice your support by emailing your MSPs today. Simply enter your details on our form and you will be taken to a template email to request your MSP’s support for compulsory microchipping of pet cats.
