Speak up against cat theft

Cat theft is on the rise – cats must be protected

The theft of a cat is currently treated the same as theft of property. Our pets are more than just property, they are family.

We need a change in the law to make taking a pet a specific and separate offence to other forms of theft.

Cats Protection supporters have sent tens of thousands of petition signatures and emails to MPs calling for this change in the law, and a bill has now been presented in Parliament which would see the theft of a dog or cat treated as a specific offence.

Getting the Pet Abduction Bill across the line is still going to be a challenge, so we need to keep up the pressure - email your MP today.

Email your MP

Ask your MP to back the campaign to make Pet Abduction a specific offence & make sure cats and kittens are protected
